What information about you may be collected by ScienceCheck and what is done with this information?

Registration is required to post information to ScienceCheck, and registered users must provide their full name, e-mail address, and details about their areas of interest and professional status. We will use this information to help direct the site to specific audiences, and also to provide targeted advertisements, which help us to pay for the site’s expenses. Your specific personal information (name and contact information) will not be provided to third-parties (e.g. advertisers or sponsors), without your specific consent. We reserve the right to e-mail registered users directly to provide feedback regarding their evaluations (e.g. inquiries about incorrect posted publication details).

As with most websites, ScienceCheck may keep log files which tells us exactly what each user does on the site, including e.g. the pages they view and the searches they perform, and the IP (Internet Protocol) address of the user. We compile this information to help us improve the site, but your personal activity will never be disclosed to third-parties.

Like most major websites, ScienceCheck and third-party sponsors may transfer cookies to your browser to match content to your preferred interests. If you decline or disable the use of cookies, you may not have access to all features of the site.

The above policy may be changed from time to time without notice, though changes will be indicated by the date at the top of this page.
